Ahoy There Castaways! Not much has been happening on the island lately, still eating the same 'ol bananas and coconuts. The coconut cream pie from Mary Ann is still the best in the pacific! The fan club has grown to over 1,076 members worldwide including a bunch of fans from Canada and Australia. Those countries must still be showing the show in full force. Another major fan client is the folks from Web TV. Unfortunately Web TV users can't play the RealAudio and RealVideo files like the rest of us, but they can atleast hear the great midi's we have on the island. Hopefully in the near future we will have wav files for all to listen to. They will be short and sweet, as wav files tend to be large in size, and for us that don't have cable modems, listening to .wav files that are 10 seconds long may take a minute or so to download. RealAudio and RealVideo is the best way to go for this site. If your browser can support it, then get it.......FREE! http://www5.real.com/products/player/realplayer_download.html Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) is still enjoying her new TV Show "Dawn Wells Reel Adventures - World Wide Women". Look for it soon on a cable channel near you. The book "Sundays" is now in stores. It is written by Tina Louise (Ginger) and tells a tale of her troubled childhood. No mention of "Gilligan's Island" will be in her book. (Booooooooooo!!!) Dart Flip Cards will be selling their Gilligan's Island series around the end of February. Originally they were going to have the signatures from the remaining cast, but that would have increased the price on the cards tremendously. These cards won't be signed, but they will still be in a limited collection series, so once these sell out, bye bye Birdie. Inkworks will not be releasing any cards as they couldn't get the license. The web site was down for about a week. I've talked to the support group and they said that there was an upgrade which knocked the site off. You should now notice an improvement in speed on the page. We finally have a Windows 95 Gilligan's Island Theme. You can download it off the main page. Tons of people have written to me about some of the problem areas of the "Gilligan's Island Trivia Site" and I'm happy to tell you that it has finally been fixed. You can now check the top ten and previous stats page. As I said in the last newsletter, Ginger has taken over the trivia site. Special thanks to Ginger, without her, I would never have the time to pull lobster out of the lagoon. CHAT ANYONE? Let's try a chat on Wednesday, Feb 25th. Try to logon at these times below to insure that you get the most people on-line with you. Please mark your calendars. Pacific Time = 7:00pm Mountain Time = 8:00pm Central Time = 9:00pm Eastern Time = 10:00pm If anybody has any Gilligan's Island .wav files, or sound recordings of the music played on the show, please e-mail them to me so I can put it on the page. You'll get full credit of course. Off to work now. The Skipper said that I have to climb this palm tree and look out for some ships. I just saw a helicopter, but I guess the Skipper just wants me to tell him if I see ships?! Oh well.....
