You'll never miss your favorite episode again. Did you know that Bob Denver's son actually played in an episode of Gilligan's Island? In episode 66 "V" for Vitamins" the Professor determines that the lack of vitamin C on the island threatens the health of the crew. When Gilligan dreamt that he was Jack in the Beanstalk and the Skipper (Jolly Green Giant) grabbed a very small Gilligan at the end of the dream sequence, that was Bob Denver's son. OK, now you know who he is, and his name is Patrick. Today he works in a special effects studio and he has made Foam Coconuts! He is selling them on his dad's web site at: http://www.bobdenver.com He's only making 50 of them, and Bob himself will autograph them personally to you. What else would you like to see Patrick make? We mentioned coconut cups, but do you have any other ideas? How about a replica radio? Please let me know. Still trying to get Columbiahouse to release a DVD of the Gilligan's Island series but we can't do it without your help. Please e-mail Columbiahouse at video@columbiahouse.com and bug the heck out of them. Please have your friends and relatives do the same. It doesn't have to be a long message, just something to tell them that they should release the series on DVD. There is also a site called TV Shows on DVD. You can vote for your favorite series and supposedly the Webmaster lets studios know of interest in particular shows. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com Thanks Anthony Not sure who made this, but a band did a remake on the song "He's A Loser" by the Mosquitoes! You can listen to this unbelievable song on the top of our main page: http://www.gilligansisle.com/main.html KungfuML informed me that Gilligan's Island is on in Canada now. http://www.canada.com/entertainment/tvchannels/dejaview/programs.html The theme song in French was sent to us and you can also listen to it at the top of our main page: http://www.gilligansisle.com/main.html Gilligan's Island is shown world wide, so please, send us a recording from your country so we can see what these themes sound like. Everybody is curious! Any more Flash programmers out there. We have 2 great openings on our main page, and we would like to add some more. If you are a Flash programmer, please show us what you've got. We would love to put your Gilligan's Island Flash on our intro page as well. Check out our current intro's , they are great! http://www.gilligansisle.com Frederick Colby writes to tell us: I ordered one of the Gilligan Bobble Heads mentioned in your last newsletter. The name of the company is Toy Wiz, and to make it short they are not able to provide the item at this time. They charged my credit card and said it would be mailed within 24 hours but it still has not arrived. Yesterday I called them (because there was no reply to my e-mails) and they said they would credit my card. End of that and I wouldn't suggest ordering from them. Keep up the good work and have a super day!! Also, I was excited to find out from my cell phone provider (Verizon) that I could download Gilligan's Island theme song for my cell phone ringer!! Wow, its really neat and now everyone knows how much a fan I am when it rings. [Editor note: I wish I could get one for my Nextel!] A note from member Jeffrey: Saw the Man Show last night on Comedy Channel. The episode featured funny (crude, but funny) references to Gilligan's Island, centered around the Ginger -vs- Mary Ann debate. It also featured an appearance by Dawn Wells: Well I have to go. I discovered this pancake glue made out of maple from the trees on the island and we are going to fix the Minnow! We may be home sooner than expected! Until next time, "Smooth Sailing."
