Ahoy There Fellow Castaways! My oh my, what an interesting month of June! We're sure atleast 99% of you have heard the news about Bob Denver (Gilligan). It seems as if he received a package in the mail containing some sort of plant life, and got arrested in the process. There were also hints that Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) was the sender of the package (which is just a rumor). If you don't know what we're talking about, then go to our homepage and you'll see Gilligan being thrown in jail by the Skipper. We've been getting so much e-mail on the subject, that we hardly have time to wash the Howell's clothes! (yeah!) We were contacted by Entertainment Weekly and they had me in their June 19th issue on page 14. They quoted me on pretty bad quotes, but oh well, what can you do? Bob still has to go to court and we'll keep you updated on the matter. We spoke with Bob Denver's son, Patrick, and he had no comment at this time. Remember him? He played the miniture Gilligan in the "Goose that laid the Golden Oranges" dream. He was being chased around and picked up by the Skipper playing the role of the evil Beanstalk giant. Anyways, Patrick seemed like a real nice guy, and he just wishes that it was all over with. The guys at his work have been teasing him and cracking jokes. We all wish Patrick, Bob and the rest of his family good luck with this problem, and we hope that it all blows over soon. We are all for Bob not going to jail as he was totally cooperative with the police in their investigation, and this also has been his first offence. I think I speak for the rest of us when we say "Free Willy!" Apparently Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) will be in portland Oregon to do an appearance on July 2nd. As of yet we have no idea where she will be. Keep your eyes and ears open for newspaper clippings or radio info in the Portland area. (Sorry for the late notice) The Target dolls are all sold out. If you missed the boat don't worry. They should be selling these dolls still on the Internet or at miscellaneous stores around the country. You might have to pay a little extra for them now, but atleast you'll have one. We have a new look to the Gilligan's Island intro page, and it is Fantastic! Our good fan club member Mr. Campbell has created a beautiful logo with full 3D scenery. It is amazing! You can see it by coming to our intro page at: http://www.lookup.com/homepages/58181/home.html Thanks Mr. Campbell for a job VERY well done. If you missed Gilligan's appearance on South Park, you can see it from our site in RealVideo. It's short and sweet, not as good as when he was on the Simpsons tho'. Three cheers goes out to fan club member Gary Q. for helping us out. We're trying to contact Bob about getting more information about his Weekend radio talk show called "Weekend With Denver and Denver", but due to circumstances he is kinda slow in responding. Hopefully we'll have more info in our next issue. We made a little "City of Gilligan's Island." It's kind of cute, with a volcano, a clothes nitted hot air balloon and buildings reflecting the island. Thanks to Brother Mike for the image. You're the best! You can see it here at: http://www.lookup.com/homepages/58181/ourtown.html A couple more titanic comics have been added for your viewing pleasure. Check them out for a laugh. More .wav files have been added as well as the famous "Gilligan's Island Internet Song." The trivia has been updated, but still has LOADS of problems. I can't access it through my main browser to update the questions. Ginger has been helping me out a lot by sending me questions to ask. Thanks Ginger for all of your help! Speaking of which, we have a new helper! Mary Ann has volunteered her service as our new clerk in the recruitment area. Folks wishing to join the free fan club will be sending her the mail to sort and distribute for me! She also has a neat picture of Ginger's dress that was worn during the show that should be up soon (I hope). Thanks Mary Ann, you're wonderful! The Fan Club has grown to about 1,400. Every month I send 1,400 newsletters out and I receive about 100 of the e-mail back to me because the good folks cancelled their service, or got a new e-mail address. PLEASE inform me if you will no longer be using your current address. That really makes it difficult for us, and the time waisted takes us away from building our latest lookout tower. If any of you receive this newsletter twice, please let me know so I can fix that for you. Thanks to everybody that has sent me news clippings, .wav files, and information. Keep 'em coming. If any of you see something Gilligan-related, please drop me a note so I can let the rest of us know. We've been trying to get the audio from the Oscar awards with Billy Crystal singing the Titanic version of Gilligan's Island. We haven't have much luck so far and might need your help. If any of you can send me an audio tape of the beginning to the Oscar Awards, please let me know as I might need to borrow it.
