Ahoy Maties! Quote of the month Professor: Stick out your tongue. Ahh yes, I think we'll have to operate! Mary Ann: Operate! What have I got? Professor: You have a severe case of roomisigloomis. Gilligan: Zat is what she has alright. Mary Ann: What is roomisigloomis? Professor: It's a medical term my dear, no concern of yours. Welcome to the November edition of the Gilligan's Island Fan Club. Did you get to watch "Surviving Gilligan's Island?" We thoroughly enjoyed it! The actor's and actresses played the cast to a tee, and it was pretty interesting what went on "behind the scenes." The "Skipper's Log," run by our Island Corespondent Pete Salisbury, reported that 'Surviving Gilligan's Island' was the highest rated TV movie in two years. It won the night for CBS and it won in every category. It's the first show to beat a first run episode of The Practice in the ratings war. What does this mean? It could mean that 'Gilligan's Island: The Movie" might get the fast track into production. Studios are scrambling to find light hearted/comedy scripts to produce because the mood of the country is crying for laughter and what better way then with a proven product. http://www.gilligansisle.com/skippers-log/ TV Guide has a great Gilligan's Island Trivia game on their site, and it's not too tough. Go to their site at http://tvguide.com/games/trivia/011012.asp and play away. Great for one of those rainy days! Thanks Steve D. for finding this one! Rebecca sent us a note saying that Alan Hale Jr. was offered the role of Sam the butcher on the Brady Bunch, but thought the role was too low class! Remember George? He's the guy who made the Gilligan voodoo figures. http://www.gilligansisle.com/voodoo.html He is now selling new Gilligan's Island Christmas ornaments that Bob & Dreama are selling on their web site. http://bobdenver.com/Gilligan_s_Gifts/gilligan_s_gifts.html Anybody living in the Lewes Delaware district? If so, we need somebody to check out a "Gilligan's" restaurant. Apparently this is one of the best places to eat in Lewes with a variety of tasty dishes and a great deck by the canal. Please e-mail me if you plan to go. The only info we have is that it may be located at the Canal Square. 302-645-7866 Well that's all for now. The Professor found a crate in the lagoon and made it into a satellite dish. Using salvaged parts from the transmitter, he was able to build a receiver, a tv and even a remote! (Isn't he amazing!) Now we can watch ourselves weekdays at 5:30am and on the weekends at 6:00am. on TBS. Life just doesn't get any better than this!
