Ahoy Fellow Castaways!

Welcome to the August edition of the Gilligan's Island Fan Club. Not a lot
happening this month, so we'll keep it short!

To start the newsletter off, the Gilligan's Island Fan Club just received 
1 Million hits on our web site! You should have seen the celebration we threw!
We stared at the screen for 2 seconds, said to ourselves, "Hey, we've got
1 Million hits." Then drank some coconut milk and went to bed. 

The musical has finally arrived! It will run August 8 - August 26 at the
Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks, California (about an hour 
north of Los Angeles). I've seen the musical in San Diego, and I loved it! The 
actor's and actresses played the part to a tee, and the show was full of 
catchy tunes. This is a production that you simply can not afford to miss! This 
musical is a must see, you won't be disappointed if you are a true Gilligan's 
Island fan. The only problem I had with the musical in San Diego is that I smiled 
so long that my cheeks ached for days. I'll be there opening weekend and hope to 
have a review of the show on the page shortly afterwards.

Are you one of those folks who enjoy watching "The Weakest Link?" If you are, then
you might be interested in watching an upcoming show that consists of MOST
of the cast from the Brady Bunch! Even tho' we are the Gilligan's Island Fan Club,
a lot of us enjoyed watching the Brady Bunch, which was also produced by the
Gilligan's Island creator Sherwood Schwartz. Not sure when this show will air, but
it was heard recently on the radio.

That's it, short and sweet as promised. No sightings, no worthy TV appearances,
nothing..... Maybe Gilligan is just taking the month off. Hope to have some more 
next month.

Since this newsletter was so short this time, I now have enough time to catch up
on my butterfly collection. "Smooth Sailing"
