Ahoy Maties!

Welcome to the FIRST edition of the new Millennium! WOW! 2,000 years and
still over 2,300 fan club members! Some said the world would explode, others
said that we would be bombed to kingdom come. SOME thought they would
be rescued by now, but I guess we'll have to see what happens with us in
the year 2001! Oh well, things could be worse. At least we have a 300 baud
modem made from a coconut shell, and a speedy 286 that the Professor made
for us. Maybe this year (if we're lucky enough) we'll find a 386 floating
around the lagoon with a 9600 baud modem in it. Wouldn't that be
wonderful? Anyway, let's get on to business.

at 8:00pm Eastern time on FOX. The cast members of "Different Strokes" and 
"Gilligan's Island" tell revealing stories about their popular television 
series. With Todd Bridges, Gary Coleman, Bob Denver, Russell Johnson, Tina 
Louise, Dawn Wells and Sherwood Schwartz. WOW! Don't miss this!!! Sorry for

Did you happen to catch the E! Entertainment special on December 12? If not,
we have a newspaper article explaining the 2 hour show. If you did watch it,
then maybe you were a little disappointed as I was. How many times from this
show did one of the executives say that they didn't like it, and that they
didn't know anybody that liked it. I wish they would just show the uncut 
film and leave all of the other junk out of it. Maybe they'll do another 
one sometime, and give us just the good stuff. I'm sure there is a lot more 
on Ms. Well's reels. We'll have to wait and see.

If anybody did tape the show, maybe you could help out the unfortunate folks
by making them a copy for their viewing pleasure. If you are interested in

The island in the distance you see at the beginning of each episode is

*** Everyone still loves 'Gilligan'

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (AP) - More than 30 years after it aired, the TV program 
"Gilligan's Island" is not forgotten in southern West Virginia. A crowd of 
200 packed the Bluefield Holiday Inn on Saturday for an auction that 
included donations by Bluefield resident Bob Denver, known for his title 
role in the 1960s TV series. Denver's donations include a "Gilligan's 
Island" play school set and autographed denim shorts worn by actress Dawn 
Wells, who portrayed Mary Ann. The auctions, which also had a motorcycle
and a Cadillac and autographed items from singer Garth Brooks, Shania
Twain and other celebrities, netted $40,000 The sale was organized by the
Bluefield Union Mission Church, and the price of admission to the auction 
was a can of meat. Denver said the auction brought back memories. "I did get
a little weepy, a little misty, but it's for a good cause and I hope it 
helps a lot," he said. 

"Don't Bug the Mosquitoes" airs on Jan 25th at 5:30am on TBS. I mention this
because so many people think that this is the all time best episode, and they
must tape it! Well, here you go.

We are looking for a new Ginger on our island. The one we had is no where 
to be found as her e-mail address is no longer valid and she failed to inform 
us. If any of you women out there want to be our new Ginger on the island,
please send me your Ginger experience. The more gilligan books and movies 
you have, the better your chance. Tell me all! 

Well, that's it for now. During New Years Eve a typhoon hit and washed the 
supply hut out into the middle of the lagoon. I need to tie this rope to it 
and pull it back in. Wait! Actually, if this hut floats, maybe I can sail it
to the shipping lanes..... WOW! Maybe we'll see you in a couple of weeks!
