Ahoy There! Welcome to an early edition of the June newsletter. A very important event has come up, so I'm sending this off early so you can mentally prepare yourself. For all AOL users! Professor, Mary Ann and Gilligan will be chatting LIVE on America Online June 1st, at 9:00pm Eastern time. What an opportunity!!! If you don't have AOL (such as myself), I'm sure you know of somebody that does use that service. Maybe if you bring them a coconut creme pie they'll let you sign on for hours! I'll be on a neighbor's computer that night! See you there!!! OK, that was really why I sent this newsletter off early, but since I got you here, I'll let you know what else has been going on. I hear that there is a "Gilligan's" bar or restaurant in Austin, Texas. It is located just off of 6th street (the bar street). If anybody has any info on this place, please let us know. Swipe some souvenirs if you can, and if you get caught, let them know that their names will go up in lights on our site. Another Gilligan's restaurant has been spotted in Sherbern, New york, but the details are fuzzy. Does anybody know about this one too? And now for more updates. Due to the many requests, the sheet music to the Gilligan's Island theme song is available on our site. The score isn't rhythmically correct, but it has all of the chords and notes you'll need to get you started. Happy playing! http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/gisheet.html Another request that has been mentioned a few times was who is still alive? Scott Michaels, the webmaster of findadeath.com, has added some very interesting facts about the deceased castaways. Info such as where they lived, where they died, and many pictures of their homes. It's really a great site, and very informative on not just the castaways, but other famous actors/actresses such as Robert Reed, Buffy on Family Affair, etc. Just click the link at the top of our main page to view the castaway info. For some reason, I misplaced our merchandise page. Well it's back up, and you can see what collectibles are out there for your favorite show, "Gilligan's Island" of course. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/merch.html Eighteen new .wav files have recently been added, and should put a smile on your face. You'll hear new soundtracks and great cut-downs from Gilligan and the Skipper. Click here for a couple of minutes of fun. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/wave.html Fan club member Patrick Leclair was nice enough to send us a newspaper clipping from the Star-Tribune in Casper Wyoming. This talks about her acting camp and also has a link to her very own web page. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/wellstribune.html Wanna chat with other members on our site? You can chat with them this Saturday night. Click here for details. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/chat.html Keep sending e-mails to Columbia House! It seems as if they are saying in order to release the rest of the video's, they need to review consumer reaction. That sounds to me as if they are telling us to request it so we can get it. Anyways, I'll send them another letter, and hopefully you'll bombard them as well. If they keep getting hit with e-mails, they'll have to give in. Here's an e-mail address for you: customer_service@columbiahouse.com That's it for now. This gentleman is here collecting butterflies, and he says that once he catches it, he'll shoot his flare off and we'll be rescued! Actually, he says that catching this "Pussycat Swallowtail" could take months to catch!!! (yuk) The Professor is brewing up a batch that will get him drunk enough to pass out, then we'll steal his flare gun and shoot it off so we can get rescued early. The party is tonight, so we'll see you on the mainland soon! Willy Gilligan Webmaster Gilligan's Island Fan Club www.gilligansisle.com
