Welcome to the April addition of the Gilligan's Island Fan Club!

I'm running a little behind this time, but never fear.... you'll always
get an update atleast once a month (unless a typhoon hits and wipes us out).
You see, the Howell's had me dig a BBQ pit and as I was doggin', I discovered
a treasure chest! Now we're in court with Thurston to see who really owns 
prize. (What a mess)

Great news! Our very own Mary Ann was interviewed by Bride's Magazine and
helped them do a story about weddings on Gilligan's Island. YES! People have
actually been married where the very first episode was shot! We have had 
requests in the past about where the episodes were shot, and for the most part,
we have all of that information available to you for only $29.95! Just 
kidding. The page isn't public yet, but you can go there yourself and see 
where the pilot and the first episode was shot!

New .wav files have been added to our page, and I must admit, some are pretty
funny. You'll remember some of the short theme clips. Just click the link
to our main page and you'll be there. Some of them use Real Player. If you
don't have it, then get it. It's fantastic!

Does anybody have the Dart Flip Cards or the newly released Gilligan's Island
Dolls for sale? If you do, we'll put in a free ad for you in our dedicated
Dolls and Cards section.

Mike wrote us and said that he saw a snickers commercial where a woman is 
crying about how much she misses her husband. She opens up her locket and 
there is a picture of Gilligan. She then says "It was just supposed to be a 
three hour tour." Then you see more pictures of Gilligan on the mantle. Then 
it says "Not going anywhere for a while?...Have a snickers." Thanks Mike! I
haven't seen it yet, but maybe one of you have. If so, and you have it
recorded, let us know so we can put it on the page for all to view and
listen to.

For any of you that are lucky enough to have The Nostalgia Channel, you can
see Bob Denver (Gilligan) on the Leslie Uggams Show April 21 at 6:30pm, and
April 28 at 12:30am. Both Eastern Time.

Scott Smith sent us a video of all the Castaways from a 1988 show, and we're
hoping to have the full audio up this month some time. This was the last time
the FULL cast was together for a show. It's quite a tape!

I mentioned it before, but there are castaway pants for sale! These are the
same type of pants that Gilligan, Professor and Mary Ann wore on the show,
and they're personally autographed to you! Gilligan's bell-bottoms are $100,
Professor's khaki slacks are $75, and Mary Ann's shorts are $50. You can

Remember the Australian Rock group "Brill?" Well, they have informed me that
the Mary Ann song is due to be released in the US soon. I can't wait until it
hits, as I think it will do very well. We'll keep you posted about this. If

Douglas tells us that he went to the Mardi Gras parade in Pensacola and Dawn 
Wells (Mary Ann) was the Grand Marshall! The float had a Gilligan's Island 
theme and they played the Gilligan's Island song as she came by! If anybody
saw this spectacular event, please let us know.

Gilligan's Island Movie News! An anonymous source tells us that Troy Miller 
was supposed to Direct the movie a year ago. He then did 'Jack Frost' for 
the same studio (Warner). That put it on hold. Then Jeff Cesario got 
assigned to do an original draft of the movie. Coincidentaly Jeff also has a 
credit on Jack Frost so maybe Troy Miller is still doing 'Gilligan' 
(with J.C.?). The company behind the movie is Brillsien/Grey so they are the 
ones who probably work with the Schwartz's.
